Some buildings from the past centuries, a large shaded village square, white houses with green shutters, Lagoa really does not lack charm. The parish church of Santa Cruz, with its vaults of the sanctuary or the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in Manueline style; the church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, with a beautiful collection of 18th century sculptures by Machado de Castro; or the convent of the Franciscans, built in 1749, with its noble appearance and beautiful baroque facade, are particularly worth a visit.
