The château is home to a remarkable collection of Romanesque Virgins.
The Château de La Rochelambert is reached via a shady path that gives little away about this fairytale residence set against the rock face of a volcano. A favourite haunt of George Sand, the château was restored during the Renaissance. A visit to the grand tower and main rooms will take young and old through history, with sword and knight's armor, tapestries, paintings and sculptures. A change of scenery is provided by guided tours.
