This museum looks back at the ancestral culture of wheat in the Azores, which has now disappeared and been replaced by livestock farming. We discover the traditional production techniques of the 18th and 19th centuries. The Wheat Museum is the result of the reconstruction of an old hydraulic mill, where visitors can observe the traditional instruments used during the wheat harvest, as well as a permanent exhibition composed of panels evoking the cultivation of cereals in São Miguel.
