One of the city's upscale hotels, with a fine restaurant, bar, gym and outdoor pool.

A few meters from the small beach in the city center, the Zenite Boutique Hotel & Spa is one of the city's upscale hotels and offers its lucky guests a good restaurant, a very chic bar, a gym, an outdoor pool (open when the weather is nice) and another one indoors when the weather is bad. Double rooms, family rooms and suites, all air-conditioned, offer superb views of the ocean and the roofs of Angra. A very nice address

This is a really nice hotel in a useful location. Short walk to restaurants and the beach. Housekeeping were fantastic the whole week, breakfast was the best we have had staying in the Azores.

Two things to be warned about, if you plan on using the spa or indoor pool you need a swimming hat. If you don't have one they will sell you one for €10 which is a bit cheeky tbh. We ended up not using the facilities because we weren't paying €20 for a pool when the sea was a 5 minute walk away and free. The other thing to note is while they do technically have free parking outside the hotel there are only 2 spaces. These obviously fill up very quickly. There is free parking about 400 m away in the Mount Brasil car park which you can use. While not ideal if you have mobility issues this was workable for us.

On the whole I would definitely recommend this hotel as somewhere to stay on the island.
