A theater with a capacity of just under 1,000 seats on four floors.
The Angrense Theatre is a beautiful 19th century building located right next to the Duque de Bragança market and the Palace of the Captains General. Built between 1855 and 1860 and renovated twice since, it now has a capacity of just under 1,000 seats spread over four floors. Inside, its "horseshoe" shaped auditorium is typical of Italian opera houses and hosts both local and nationally acclaimed performances
