Built in 1456, this church features a beautiful alabaster statue of the Infant Jesus in a silver box.
Built in 1456 by Jácome de Bruges, the island's first captain-donor, and not completed until 1517, it was the alterations carried out in the early 19thcentury that gave it its current appearance. The portal, with its arcade of five arches, was donated by King Manuel I. The interior, a blend of different styles, houses a beautiful alabaster statue of the Infant Jesus in a silver box from the former Convent of Jesus in the sacristy.
