Sixteen comfortable rooms in a welcoming setting, in fact an old restored manor house. Between Maria the receptionist and Luis Gregorio, the director, you are in good hands! Both, and why not both, will be happy to inform you about this island that they are so fond of. For the anecdote, Luis's grandfather was mayor of Santa Cruz! Both speak a little French; in short, a valid and recommended address.

Tutto dipende da quello che uno vuole: questo hotel é molto spartano ed essenziale. Però è funzionale. Ottima posizione a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro di Santa Cruz, parcheggio antistante, personale gentile, Wi-Fi affidabile, struttura pulita e soprattutto economica. Poi ci sono le note dolenti come l'arredamento che neanche la casa di campagna della nonna negli anni 80, non c'è aria condizionata ma... alle Azzorre cosa te ne fai? La tv in camera credo sia l'equivalente di un mivar 15 pollici prima della caduta del muro di Berlino e, in ultimo, il tocco déco lo si ha nel bagno coi tubi a vista. I letti li ho trovati confortevoli. Le foto sono ben studiate e scattate in modo furbo, da far sembrare la struttura molto migliore di quello che poi appare. Ripeto, tutto dipende da ciò che si cerca.

Quiet location near the city centre (the city is not very large anyway!). A warm welcome in this old house.
Upstairs room overlooking the garden, a decent size, clean and comfortable.
Buffet a little small and basic breakfast but OK.
Free wi-fi operates on foot (reception, lounge, dining room).
Free parking behind.

A little difficult to find the first time because there is just a small sign on the façade. I passed twice from suite drive without seeing it and I have to watch the number of buildings to find it!
