Super Essen, großes Bier im Angebot (auch nicht üblich auf Pico), vegetarisches Tagesessen, große Auswahl, Cocktails super, auch schon Mittags, super Lage und super nette Bedienung.

Lecker gegessen und die Kinder (7 und 9) wurden bei einem geteilten Essen (Halbpension beim Übernachten) fast satt. Wir haben Bandnudeln nachbestellt. Die Tuna Lasagne war lecker und ausreichend für die Erwachsenen.
Wir waren Anfang Juni 2023 hier, keine Überfüllung und kein schlechter Service! Im Gegenteil, guter und aufmerksamer Service. Wir waren zufrieden!

Leckeres Essen und sehr sympathische, schnelle Bedienung. Wir haben das Lokal 2 Mal besucht und waren jedes Mal begeistert. Tolles Essen zu einem sehr guten Preis in bester Lage direkt am Hafen. Auch für Vegetarier geeignet (was hier auf den Inseln manchmal etwas schwierig ist) und selbst in der Nebensaison absolut empfehlenswert!

We ate here twice. Once for lunch, the second time for dinner. Great service crew and exceptional food. Be aware we always had the meals of the day (meat, fish or vegetarian options). These options come fast and always left us highly satisfied. Especially the vegetarian Food was great on the meat focused Azores.

Beautiful and clean place, private bathroom and kitchen available. A bit expensive (70 euros per night), but ok. Best breakfast in acores. Available at espaco thalassa whale watching service with a competent and respectful crew.

Il faut avoir la chambre numéro 2 pour avoir cette vue du balcon, mais qu'elle vue lorsqu'on ouvre les rideaux ????. Il y a une cuisine extérieure équipée et couverte si besoin. Les lits sont confortables et salle de bain/WC dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner se prend au restaurant directement

We stayed 8 days in family Whale' including in May 2011. The rooms are small but ideally located Lajes do Pico. The decor and layout are of quality. The food is excellent. Basically a meeting place and exchange unmissable, on a beautiful island.

My companion and me even sums not stayed at the hotel however we went to eat at this famous restaurant.
That has to change well since 2009 because the service was not exemplary: no explanations when you request what is in the dishes and the welcome is not very warm...
But it is the food which really killed us. Indeed, you can hear the " ding" microwave just before the dishes are served! Chips were cold and lasagne vegetarian who had the same taste as those found in a supermarket were hot interior.
It is true that the prices are very affordable but the quality is not.

This hotel also has a restaurant, which is worth the detour.

We are very well received by a dynamic team, meals are copious and very good for a very reasonable price.

The decor is original and it is a pleasure to spend the time of the meal Whale' including restaurant, which it is inside or outside (beautiful view of the port).

We strongly recommend it.
