In a building adjacent to the main church of Velas, the Igreja de São Jorge, a small museum developed through the acquisitions of sacred art by Father Manuel Garcia Silveira, a former priest of Velas. The place exhibits precious liturgical furniture, sacred images, silver worship objects (including censers and monstrances), sculptures and photographs dating from the 16th to the 20th century.
