On the road between Velas and Urzelina, it is worth the detour for its superb view on Velas and its bay. The belvederes are very numerous in the Azores, and this, for our greatest pleasure. The viewpoints on the wonderful nature of the country are almost endless: lakes, volcanoes, green plains, everything is subject to admiration and contemplation. The Mirante viewpoint is no exception to the rule. So take the time to stop, don't go too fast... Take the time to marvel and appreciate.
