URZELINA BELL TOWER
Visit the Urzelina bell tower, the only survivor of the terrible eruption of 1808, which can be viewed from the outside.
Urzelina's bell tower is the only survivor, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, of the terrible eruption of 1808. The church was completely engulfed by the eruption. Its white façade, adorned with local grey stone, stands in the middle of the village. Around it grow pear, hibiscus, aloe, rose, banana, dragon and avocado trees. It is located on private property, but is open to the public. You can see it from the outside, but you can't go inside the bell tower.
