MUSEUM OF FLORES
A modern museum devoting an entire space to the history of piracy and privateering in Santa Cruz.
Housed in a former Franciscan convent, this modern museum deals with the history of the convent over the centuries, but also with several very interesting aspects of the more and less recent history of Flores: agriculture, the dairy industry, the production of butter and cheese, the instruments of navigation at sea and whaling. The museum also devotes a whole space to the history of piracy and privateers, as well as the numerous shipwrecks that took place off the coast of the island. A fascinating visit.
