The Belgian Embassy in Lima is the competent authority for visa applications for Belgium. Applicants must go in person to the embassy or consulate responsible for their country of residence to submit their visa application. In some cases, applications may be processed by an external service provider. It is advisable to contact the embassy or consulate for specific information on visa application procedures. For short-stay visa applications (maximum 90 days), it is possible for the application to be processed by another Schengen state with which Belgium has a representation agreement. However, long-stay visa applications or short-stay visa applications anticipating a longer stay in Belgium must always be submitted to the relevant embassy or consulate.
