In the series of "pocket restaurants" that are springing up in Barranco, Awicha is a nice surprise. Located in a hotel house, it offers a dozen tables around an open kitchen. The place is high-ceilinged, full of flowers, airy and pleasant. And the food is fine and creative. The dishes are gourmet, and it's ideal to share several. The menu changes every month. We liked the ceviche de pato (duck), the tartare and the risotto curry. Superb wine selection and excellent desserts. Jason, trained in France, continues to surprise us.
