IGLESIA JESÚS, MARÍA Y JOSÉ
Church – Cathedral – Basilica – Chapel

Built in 1659, this church is touchingly simple, a rather humble yellow painted façade with small towers. The nave and the niches are filled with unremarkable paintings, except for a powerful portrait of the Virgin. On the other hand, the central altar, gilded with gold leaf as it should be, sparkles with a thousand lights in a pure baroque style. There is also one of the most famous organs in Peru built in 1873 by the famous organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll.
