IGLESIA Y SANTUARIO DE SANTA ROSA DE LIMA

The church is of no interest, but the sanctuary is one of the few "living" examples of 16th century Lima architecture. This is where Rosa, "patron saint of the Americas", was born, lived and died. The place, with its pleasant garden and well, welcomes visitors especially on August 30 (a holiday in Lima), when crowds rush to send their letters of good wishes into the well. If you are on this date in these streets, Santa Rosa de Lima is a must-see.
