The Jesuits are at the origin of this place of retreat dating from 1594. At the foot of the Cerro San Cristóbal in the Rimac district, the complex combines the darkness of the corridors with the efflorescence of the cloisters. The interesting baroque altar in the chapel of the Virgen del Carmen and the numerous paintings that the visitor will try to relate to their origins (schools of Cusco, Lima, Quito) increase the interest of this timeless place. Be careful in these areas.
