The Monumental Callao is the emblem of the rebirth of this district, which had a very poor reputation. In the heart of the historic centre, the casonas have been refurbished, graffiti artists have been brought in and galleries have opened. The Casa Fugaz is in fact an Art Nouveau passageway where small boutiques and trendy restaurants have emerged. We recommend a guided tour of the area to better understand or a graffiti class. There is a lot of security in the area, so it's best not to stray far from these few blocks, as the neighborhood also has its lawless areas.
