The first thing you notice are some kind of cracks that are in fact the air outlets of an underground network of aqueducts that are nearly 2,000 years old and still in use today. Nazca is fed by these canals, intended to capture the rainwater that deigns to fall two days in the year. The galleries where a man can stand and the spiral wells are evidence of the ingenuity of the Nazcas in the control of water. If you fly over the lines, you can also see them from above.
