In the small village of Algarrobal, between Ilo and Moquegua, there is the Museo Chiribiya, with a flowery entrance and a pretty ochre front. This museum houses a dozen mummies from the Chiribaya culture that occupied the southern coast between 900 and 1375 AD. Everything is very well preserved. Through the different rooms, we also find many objects of daily life, pottery, musical instruments... The project is interesting, but since it was taken over by the municipality, the museum has fallen into decline.
