In the station itself are exposed the machines that make all the children of the world dream. This museum is considered the most important in Latin America: more than 90% of the exhibits are original and date back more than a century. The locomotive 93 was even working in 1879, at the time of the Pacific War against Chile. The site is a bit abandoned, but nice pictures in perspective. A renovation plan is normally on the agenda.

Genialissime...ils sont tre rares ces musées dans le monde...on est transporté dans le temps...tout est encore en place alors plein de poussière, mais c est le chef de gare qui fzit la visite et qui nous explique tres fièrement que le PEROU a récupéré la ligne Tacna/arica suite à la guerre du pacifique. D ailleurs, a 16h, nous voyons les ouvriers revenir du Chili sur une voiture rail!! Canon
