About a 20 minute walk from the historic centre, the area is well worth a visit. Just in front of the small main square, there is a row of columns and arches made of traditional white stone, the sillar, which open in a semicircle to offer an impressive view of the city with the Misti and Pichu Pichu volcanoes in sight. There is also a small charming church, cobbled streets and excellent traditional restaurants, the pincanterias. Spending a few hours there allows you to discover another face of the city.
