Just a 20-minute walk from the historic center, this district is well worth a visit. Just in front of the small main square is a row of columns and arches in traditional white stone, the sillar, which open out in a semicircle to offer an impressive view of the city, with the Misti and Pichu Pichu volcanoes in the line of sight. There's also a charming little church, cobbled streets and excellent traditional restaurants, the pincanterias. Spend a few hours here and you'll discover a different side of the city.
