For those who love libraries full of ancient treasures! It is indeed a unique place where 20,000 books are housed, which followed the conquistadors of the 16th century. Be careful, you can only enter the library for 15 minutes per hour. You can spend your time visiting the Franciscan convent. Built in 1648, it has four cloisters that are examples of colonial architecture. It houses two rooms of pre-Columbian art and a collection of beautiful mochica, chimú, vicús, chancay and paracas mummies.

Beautiful convent with magnificent library, unfortunately poorly highlighted. Sq situtqtion on the other side of the river also allows you to leave a little city square is white Arequipa.
This imposing monastery built by the franciscans is worth the detour. Very beautiful architecture, the convent has a small museum of pre-Columbian art offering various objects of interest: ceramic masks fabrics objects of cultures huari etc.
Beautiful cloister dating back to 1648
Beyond this cloister, fauna amazionnienne toucans parrots lazy armadillos and spiders insects and butterflies
Given the ridiculous price, a visit recommended
