In the square, a small church dating from 1719 shows its elaborate facade decorated with Amazonian motifs that can be seen on the columns of the square. This exterior richness contrasts with the dark nave and its stone pulpit. At the entrance, two large paintings by Jacinto Carbajal (1780) delight by their naivety which is equalled only by their freshness. You can visit the cloister that Simon Bolívar used to frequent, and then climb to the roof to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
