The Casa Goyeneche or Palacio de Goyeneche, now the headquarters of the central bank, with its patio where a fountain gurgling, has a small museum (with some paintings of the school of Cusco which are worth the detour). It has 4 rooms that can be visited, and its small patio. Dating from 1558 and rebuilt several times, especially after the earthquake of 1782, it is one of the oldest houses in Arequipa. It was in 1782 that Juan de Goyeneche y Aguerrevere bought it to make a family residence.
