Owner's Message
INCA RAIL is a 100% Peruvian company offering a luxury rail travel service. It is part of the CROSLAND business group, which employs over 300 people and has been present on the Peruvian market for over 50 years as a representative of Electromotive, the railway division of General Motors and the world's largest locomotive manufacturer.
MISSION:
To provide our passengers with the best travel experience, which means offering them safety, comfort and attention to every detail.
To achieve this, Inca Rail has a fleet of nine railcars: four Tourist Service cars with a capacity of 48 passengers each, three Executive Service cars with a capacity of 42 passengers each, one First Class car with a capacity of 30 passengers and one Presidential car with an exclusive capacity of 8 passengers.
Unlike locomotive-driven trains, auto-wagons are characterized by the fact that each has its own engine, which synchronize with each other to form a convoy. This means that the train can be configured according to demand, with the advantage of being able to offer all our services on all our routes.
Each of our cars has been equipped with passenger safety and comfort in mind. The interior of the cars has been entirely created by Peruvian technicians and carpenters, who have worked meticulously to ensure the total comfort of passengers during their journey. Comfortable seats, retractable tables, panoramic windows, and the fantastic scenery of the Peruvian Andes are just some of the features common to all Inca Rail's auto-wagons.
For the exterior design, natural tones have been carefully chosen to ensure that our trains harmonize with the landscape. Finally, as a tribute to our ancestors, each of our trains is named after an Inca emperor or princess.
Tourist Class:
For those who want comfort at the best price, the Tourist Service represents the best option for the trip to Machu Picchu. The service includes drinks only.
Executive Class:
A pleasant journey aboard beautiful carriages and comfortable seats. Executive Service carriages feature panoramic windows that let you enjoy the full beauty of the landscape. On-board service includes a fine selection of cookies and snacks made from natural ingredients, without chemicals or preservatives; plus a varied selection of hot and cold natural beverages.
First Class:
Luxury service that ensures your visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu becomes an unforgettable journey. Onboard service includes a welcome cocktail, lunch and dinner, prepared with Andean ingredients, most of which are organic, white or red wine, and to finish, delicious desserts accompanied by the essential Peruvian organic coffee and the finest selection of fruit and herbal infusions
Presidential:
Luxury and intimacy are the hallmarks of this service aboard the already famous Inca Princess. A luxurious carriage finely decorated with wood paneling, comfortable seats, panoramic windows and tables covered with the finest details are all part of this exquisite service. Presidential service includes an incredible tasting menu of the most delicate flavors of Peru's renowned cuisine, paired with the region's finest wines. Also included are a free bar and Tea Time at Machu Picchu in the prestigious Inkaterra hotel.
Tourist and Executive Class services operate all year round.
First Class service operates regularly only during the high season, from April 1 to November 14, and during Christmas and New Year's week, from December 21 to December 31.
Presidential service operates on demand at any time of day, any day of the year.
For those staying in the imperial city of Cusco, the independently-operated Cruz del Sur company offers the only bus service between Cusco and the Ollantaytambo station. It's a comfortable, safe service in brand-new Mercedes Benz buses.
Cruz del Sur offers 6 daily shuttles that are synchronized with our train departures and arrivals. To purchase your tickets, click here.
