This small, self-financed 2-storey museum plunges you into the work of one of the country's most famous craftsmen, Maximo Laura, a native of Ayacucho and a master of the art of weaving. You'll see pieces of exceptional quality, with rich colors and motifs drawn from the country's ancestral history and animist beliefs. As you move through the rooms, the staging and the occasional video capture help you to better understand the genesis of the work. A tribute to the craftsmanship in which many Peruvians still excel.
