MONTAÑA MACHU PICCHU
The Montaña Machu Picchu requires a special entrance ticket. The ascent is less strenuous than at Wayna Picchu, and more forgiving for those prone to vertigo. It is, however, more demanding, as the Montaña culminates at 3,082 meters, requiring 650 meters of ascent, mainly in the form of steps. Allow around 2h30 to 3h round trip. The view is much wider, encompassing the site, the surrounding mountains and the rivers, weather permitting. When combined with the panoramic tour, book Circuit 2 in addition to the classic tour.
