GRAN CAVERNA
Go there and contact
Until now, this new route has been little-visited, as it leads away from the heart of the Machu Picchu ruins to follow a circuit that winds below Huayna Picchu. The site is known as the Temple of the Moon, an Inca edifice of finely carved stone built into the hollow of a natural cavern, which probably served as an altar and a connection with the world of the dead. The entire route is around 3 kilometers long. It passes through the key points of Circuit 3, and can be completed with a Circuit 1 entrance for a panoramic photo.
