Many companies provide the connection with Lima several times a day (7h journey time). Like Cruz del Sur, Ferrocarril 151 (✆ +51 64 223 367), which offers four departures per day (at 8:30am, 2pm, several departures between 10pm and 11pm, www.cruzdelsur.com.pe). We can also recommend going to the Land Terminal (Av.Evitamiento, El Tambo) where almost all companies are located, including Oltursa or Junin. The schedules mentioned above correspond to departures from Huancayo to Lima.

For Jauja/Concepción, departures from the corner of Jr Amazonas and Av Giraldez (irregular), or colectivos from Calle Calixta 531. Count 30 min to Concepción, 50 min to Jauja.

To Ayacucho, with Molina, Angaraes 334 (✆ +51 64 224 501), departure at 20:30 (count 8 hours of travel). Attention, some buses have toilets, others not.

For Huancavelica : buses are more reliable, but less poetic than the train for this destination. About ten departures all day with Bus Ticllas, Av Ferrocarril 1562-1566-1590 (duration 4h).

To the Selva Central (San Ramon, La Merced, Satipo), count 7 hours of travel to Satipo. Departures from the El Tambo Terminal outside the city.
