This archaeological complex, which dates back more than 4,000 years, is very well known in the country because it is here, in the heart of the Temple of the Crossed Hands, that two pairs of high relief sculptures with crossed arms, worked in raw clay, were exhumed and can be seen in the Museo Arqueológico de Lima. The high hierarchical level of the priestly caste of Kotosh is undeniable. The visit is a bit anecdotal. It is 5 km from Huánuco and 10 min by car. Some more information at the Regional Museum Leoncio Prado with its 3 exhibition rooms (Jr. Dos de Mayo Nº 680).
