They specialize in day trips. The guides are fluent in Spanish but not in English. Entrance fees and lunches are included. Rather than trying to get to the sites on your own, if you're short of time and have set up your base camp in Chachapoyas, this is an efficient formula. These will inevitably be group outings, where the welcome is less personalized but the price more affordable, although you won't escape the many breaks en route.
