LA MUSHITA DEL TINGO
A tourist restaurant recommended for its local flavors served in a pretty cobbled courtyard. Here you can stay for a small fee (clean and basic) or sit amidst the casona 's blue-painted balconies for a local lunch of cecina, smoked pork chop, fried bananas and plantains, rice (of course), beans - in short, an invigorating local meal after a visit to the nearby citadel. The tables are grouped together under small chozas in the middle of the garden, with the Utcubamba river below, in what is known here as a restaurante campestre.
