Also known as the Church of San Pedro, it is the main church of Lambayeque and is imposing for a small town. Its two proud bell towers surmount three naves girded with ironwork balconies. Inside, three huge, impressive and splendid baroque altarpieces overshadow the other seven magnificent neoclassical ones. The choir, all carved cedar wood, is a little jewel of cabinet making. The monument as a whole is superb and we strongly recommend that you go back and visit it.
