AFROPERUANO MUSEUM
An important contribution to a part of Peruvian history that is often left out. This small museum has 7 rooms that display drawings and photos of the life of the African diaspora at the beginning of the century in the region and neighbouring countries, masks and everyday objects. It also sells instruments (still used to play Afro-Peruvian rhythms: cajón, cajita, quijada de burro) and handicrafts. Announce your visit to the teacher Carmen Cossio who can organize a guided tour and a show with musicians and dancers, the cost is additional.
