The Luis Eguiguren cultural complex has two collections: one of paintings and the other, more interesting, of pre-Columbian pieces, mainly ceramics. Since 2001, the collection has been enriched by the "Sala de Oro", which presents pieces found in the tomb of Señor de Olleros. A room is also dedicated to the Spanish conquest, Piura being the first city founded by the conquistadores. Not up to the standard of other museums in the north, but well worth a visit.
