Behind this acronym lies a wildlife conservation and rehabilitation project, Rainforest Awareness Rescue Education Center. The project raises awareness, protects and reintroduces animal species that are regularly hunted or abandoned: monkeys, small felines, an anteater and even a manatee. You can apply for a more or less long-term volunteer job, but you can also support the site by taking part in the volunteers' day-to-day tasks, or a short 2-hour visit in a small group.
