In our opinion, the best establishment in Puerto Maldonado, with the tropical charm of wood and plants. You'll find the same charm as in a lodge, but in the center of town, on the banks of the Madre de Dios River and the gigantic bridge that spans it. A few sloths nibble at the trees and the swimming pool is there for the taking. The Wasai group also has its Wasai Tambopata Lodge, a 3-hour boat ride from the port of Infierno. The lodge is an excellent base in this little piece of jungle on the river's edge.
