Brussels Airlines, which rose from the ashes of the national carrier Sabena, is the main airline linking Brussels Airport with the rest of the world. Connections to France include mainly southern cities (Lyon, Toulouse, Marseille and Nice), with other cities easily accessible by train, and to Switzerland, Geneva and Zurich. A must is to come across one of their customized "Belgian Icons" aircraft: Rackham (Tintin), Trident (Diables Rouges), Aerosmurf (the Smurfs) or Amare (Tomorrowland). These planes have become the company's signature.
