OUR HISTORY
A little history on the origins of our culinary values:
Lebanese cuisine reflects a rich culinary history that goes back several millennia. This cuisine is influenced by the many cultures that have passed through the country over the centuries, including the Ottomans, Persians, Romans and Arabs.
Lebanese cuisine is also inspired by the culinary traditions of local populations such as the Maronites and Druze.
The Phoenicians, who inhabited the region over 3,000 years ago, also left their mark on Lebanese cuisine. These talented navigators were known for their trade in precious goods such as spices, aromatic herbs and dried fruit, which have been incorporated into Lebanese cuisine. The Phoenicians also developed sophisticated culinary techniques, such as fermentation and food preservation.
