LE ROY D'ESPAGNE
Brewery kitchen in a restaurant with terrace in Brussels offering pieces of beef from noble breeds.
Le Roy d'Espagne, actually called Le Café de la Grand'place, pays tribute to the Spanish occupation of Belgium. Its terrace offers one of the most sought-after views in the world. Formerly the home of the bakers' guild, its façade features a bust of Charles II (King of Spain), to whom the café owes its name. The gallery on the1st floor is a reminder that the house was once a hardware store. Here, you can dine on honest brasserie cuisine, as well as beef steaks, burgers, omelettes, vegan dishes... A French fry shop has opened on the side of the building.
