The best of authentic Belgian cuisine in a typical brasserie that has risen from the ashes with a new team.
What a pleasure it is to return to this ixellois estaminet after a short break and a new team (led by Jean Callens). Apart from her, nothing has changed: the wooden tables and chairs, the enamelled advertising plates... And the cuisine, too, remains authentically Belgian, with specialties from all 4 corners of the country: carbonnades, waterzooi, boulets liégeois, stoemp saucisse and, of course, mussels. Special mentions go to brioche and caramelized French toast, fine champagne and vanilla ice cream. The beer list, while not huge, is very well chosen.
