À LA MORT SUBITE

One of the oldest cafés in the capital, still in its juice with woodwork and narrow tables. The origin of its name is astonishing.
One of the oldest cafés in the Belgian capital is waiting to welcome you. Jacques Brel was a regular here, as were many other artists, writers, actors and coffee-lovers. The address has existed since 1928, is run by the4th generation of the Vossen family and is listed as a historic monument. It now offers four Mort Subite beers (gueuze sur lie, fruit, kriek and white lambic), twelve cask ales (including Chimay blonde and Westmalle brunette), abbey beers, Trappist beers and, of course, the "beer of the month". Not to be missed!
