CHURCH OF NOTRE-DAME-DE-LAEKEN
Church whose silhouette resembles from afar a neo-Gothic building
This church has a strange look. Designed by Poelaert, builder of the Palace of Justice, it has not been finished in the exterior details. Its silhouette resembles a neo-Gothic building from afar, and up close it looks like a strange mass with rough contours, almost Art Deco. The interior is very pure, with the crypt that houses the tombs of the sovereigns. To the left of the church is the small Laeken cemetery, bristling with monuments and statues.
