ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE OF BRUXELLA 1238
In 1238, Franciscan brothers established their convent on the Seine River, in a rapidly expanding Brussels. They will retain a very important social role until the th century. Then in the th century, a market in butter will be installed instead of the church but will be quickly removed for the construction of the boulevards and the stock exchange. Made visible to passers-by a glass glass, this museum highlights the excavations carried out from 1988 and thus recounts all these events and the evolution of the site. It will include the cenotaph of Jean I, some bones of monks and a model of the reconstructed convent.
