ST-GILLES TOWN HALL
Beautiful neo-Renaissance building built in the early 20th century by the self-taught architect Albert Dumont (1853-1920).
Very beautiful building of neo-Renaissance style built at the beginning of the 20th century by the self-taught architect Albert Dumont (1853-1920). The town hall has a horseshoe shape, with a central body extended by two side wings surrounding the main courtyard. The decoration was thought out according to the actions of the municipality in social, economic and cultural matters. On the main façade, the six statues represent the municipal missions. Inside, the town hall houses works that are representative of Belgian symbolism of the early 20th century.
