The most famous Brussels citizen has been peeing on the corner of Rue du Chêne and Rue de l'Etuve for centuries and continues to amaze.

This famous statuette was created by Jérôme Duquesnoy, a renowned 17th-century sculptor. His style is in the tradition of gaillardes fountains. The artist gave a baroque interpretation of the urinating child motif. A Brussels citizen in his own right, he is associated with the city's events, for which he is usually dressed. From time to time, the flowing water is replaced by beer.

Manneken-Pis has a less media-friendly but equally cheeky little sister, Jeanneke-Pis, crouched at the end of the impasse de la Fidélité.

For our first visit in Brussels, we fell above by chance, because it is very small and definitely is not indicated.
The stalls of waffle in the same street drew our attention more…

Le Manneken-Pis vous étonnera par sa grandeur et oui, il est tout petit et de ce fait difficile à trouver.
A voir néanmoins si vous allez à Bruxelles de plus il est souvent habillé par des costumes typique offert à l'occasion .

A statue and fountain much smaller than what awaits you. However, it is original and it is smile. It is even more to see it during a special event where you can have a specific dress. To complement to visit the museum of the city of Brussels to see more clothes.

The manneken is actually in a tiny street in a corner a crossing. You could almost pass side without knowing if it were not the assembly of Asian tourist. Nothing is exceptional.
