HAL DOOR

Built in the 14th century, this gate is the last vestige of Brussels' second city wall, one of the largest in Europe. Complemented by moats, bastions and external forts, it made the city virtually impregnable. The impressive tower was once used as a prison. Now renovated, it houses a high-quality museum that tells the story of the building and the town. Armory treasures from the former palace of Brussels are on display, along with contemporary works. At the top of the tower, the walkway offers a wide view of the city.
