This museum gathers various pieces, significant of the history of the fashion, but also, of the lace of Brussels.
Fashion and Lace brings together a wide range of pieces that are significant in the history of fashion. French dresses and mini-dresses, 19th century bodices and designer hats, cape, fans and shoulder bags, lace from Brussels and Binche, paintings and engravings, old fashion magazines and current magazines. A must-see is the Lace Room. This room tells the story of the making of this unique textile. Brussels lace, which has fallen into disuse, is highlighted through rare pieces from the museum's collections.
