ROYAL GREENHOUSES OF LAEKEN
A jewel of metal and glass filled with countless plants and flowers, planted with species that are rare in Brussels
The Royal Greenhouses at Laeken were built next to the palace by Alphonse Balat, master of Victor Horta. This jewel of metal and glass is filled with countless plants and flowers (including an impressive number of fuchsias) and planted with rare, sometimes unique, species brought from all over the world. It's a real feast for the eyes. Open for only 3 weeks in April or May, keep an eye on the Monarchie.be website for dates and times, as tickets go fast. The barbecue with the King and Queen is not included in the ticket.
